I don't get it. Why is this day called Good Friday in English? I mean, it's the day Jesus died - nailed on a cross. What's good about that? 🤔
In German this day is called Karfreitag. 'Kar' means in English 'lament, mourn'. Which is much better suited from my perspective.

@steffen In French it's "Vendredi saint", so I really don't know where the "good" comes from.
