Question for those who use floating selection: If you have an active layer effect and then make a floating selection, would you expect the floating selection to appear ABOVE or BELOW the layer effect?

(Do you want to see the raw pixels or the pixels with the filter applied?)

@CmykStudent I guess the expected behaviour would be to see the floating selection with the layer effect applied.

For the other option you would first have to disable the effect.

@javiersam Thanks for the insight! I was fixing a bug with floating selections and non-destructive editing, and there were two ways to solve it. Just needed user feedback to help determine the right way. :)
