One day I will successfully complete dual-boot setup on the first try

I forgot that I had to set an empty partition on my Linux drive (sdb1) to NTFS so I could get LILO to boot Windows from sda1. I also have no idea why this works!

oops I broke both OSs again

Guess that means another reinstall is in my near future

@prokyonid I'm curious why you're using LILO in this day and age - just more familiar than GRUB?

@philpem when booting Slackware, LILO just seems more natural

@prokyonid oh, true enough! I used to run slackware on my router, LILO is definitely a better fit if it works on your machine.
