my current little joys besides my family and kids are. Books about #lisp, common lisp itself with #sbcl, #xfce , #linux #debian and old school server side rendered #web sites. And all the web standards there are like html css and js. We have come a long way to have those great tech that lasted so long. I'm really thankful for all those projects and effort that got into it. Please lets make those tools accessible for everyone and simple in design. All that comes after us will have a bad time if we embrace all this complex cloud and build tools to just build simple software. Software is made for humans not mashines. Thanks for listening stay safe enjoy life and the little things and all that is.

is there a cool article about how to implement your own #lisp ? i'm just curious how someone would approach it with just like gcc or something else. I know sicp has an chapter on it but its based on the repl of scheme right?

This locking up of #llm s looks a lot like the fight against #malware and #pirates . I guess this making the #llm resilient against attacks is a work wasted. Once again i'm looking back to a comment of a study collegue who said "we try to lock down systems from data manipulations that were intended to manipulating data"

Don't follow the hype! Use single developer frameworks like #rails #borkweb #codeigniter and co. You don't need the #cloud to operate your stuff. Take back control. Embrace simplicity. Just look at all the latest events we have to do it now and try to get back to simplicity. The big tech solutions are not always stuff we should look at and take for granted

I'm currently thinking about switching from #hiccup to #selmer for #borkweb anyone has some proferences and why the one is better than the others. My idea is that doing the transpilation of html to hiccup is a little tedious for newcommers. With plain templates you could just copy paste and don't have to transpile the pice of code by yourself. Same goes for js and cljs

They just have to check it twice and make adjustments. And the devs estimated that they reduced the work by 50%. You know how great humans are in estimating time and effort. #tech #llms #programming

ok my christmas project is a simple federated linkedin style job board thats not full of ads and "social" interactions. The goal is to have a tool to find jobs real jobs. The technical goal is that you could host it on any webhost that has #php installed. #job #fediverse #fedijobs #jobhunt
