Hey #38c3 we have two mirrors for the NixOS cache up. https://cache.nixos.sh is a regular nginx pull through cache and https://nixos.tvix.store is an experimental binary cache based on tvix. Please update your substituters to point to either!

Writing an ssh-agent that requests host certificates using EC2 identity role credentials (previously undocumented feature of AWS that SSM uses as the bottom turtle that is now officially documented)

And now also added support to mint user certificates using IAM roles as well for admins to log in.

This stuff is really awesome and a lot less hacky than ssm or EC2 instance connect

Hey @rmondello it would be pretty dope if Apple could add Passkey support to their ssh-agent so that you can use passkeys as SSH keys.

I think I could theoretically make my own agent if I had a web browser entitlement but I don't think Apple's openssh fork has the FIDO write protocol bits in it...
