Pulled the last tracking-enabled ad network from our rotation because of the below ad, plus, you know, tracking. They haven’t responded to me on (a) why we got this ad; and (b) whether they serve any non-tracking ads. (Disclaimer: there may be the odd place where their ads are hard-coded.) Just saw an ad for The Ed Sullivan Show saying it was the longest running prime-time variety show. Rot. Only ran for 23 years. #歡樂今宵 ran for 27. And Iʼm sure there could be longer ones.

A very early Cantonese term for a cellphone was #大哥大 (literally big brother big). This was coined in the 1980s. Seems to be very appropriate in the 2020s, namely the allusion to Big Brother.
