Fun fact: #homeassistant app declares compatibility with android 5. It can be installed and launched. But the system webview is too old to be able to handle the web interface.

1. #postmarketos either doesn't boot, or boots to a black screen. I had something similar on Jolla, but I didn't try to dig further.

2. I found a somewhat working CyanogenMod 12 (android 5). Camera isn't working. I had to manually install LetsEncrypt root cert and even Fennec from F-Droid works.

I reanimated this old #android Samsung GT-S6310 (aka. Samsung Galaxy Young) without the battery, which was old and inflated.

I don't know what I'll do with it yet. The #postmarketos support exists, but not much works: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Young_(samsung-royss) . We'll see. Share your ideas.

Some time ago I enabled dm-integrity on my 4-disk raid5. There was no visible problems, because it was used mainly for nextcloud data storage.

Now I moved the docker data there, to reduce the wear of RPi sdcard.

I didn't expect such a big performance hit from dm-integrity. Especially pulling new home-assistant images takes ages (I mean few minutes).

Just a regular reminder for you to check your backups.

It's not fun to find after a disaster, that sql backups contain only a short message "mysqldump command not found", because mariadb has stopped shipping mysql aliases in docker images.

After years of hard procrastination and putting off I have finally installed monitoring for my #linux home server.

To make it independent from the server itself, it's running in LXC on the router. #openwrt FTW!

I went with #munin , because it feels much lighter than prometheus + node_exporter + grafana. I also have experience writing custom plugins
