I deactivated my Facebook account so long ago that I don't consider myself anymore addicted to that social network.

But remember, Meta is not just Facebook, but also Instagram and Whatsapp.

Honestly it's difficult to communicate with a lot of people without Whatsapp, but Instagram is full of not good role models, influencers and so on.

You'll be happier without it. Without Capitalism Mass Networks Addicting Apps.

Come usate le liste su Mastodon?

Attualmente ho salvato almeno un account da seguire in 3 liste, ma scordo che esistono.

Controllo sempre e solo la timeline personale, federata o locale.

Devo fare lo sforzo di ricordarmi ogni volta di controllare le liste, poichè chi seguo in un lista non appare nella timeline personale.

People seem stressed out and/or busy. Or they seem to be busy.

Why do we value being busy and allow ourselves to be stressed?

The metro works well. Why is this a metric to judge a city?

There are lots of opportunities, you should be able to find your way.

I believe it's a good place to be, but you should have the right mentality. It's an European place - not just Italian.

Perché i social media sono così popolari?

I social media rispondono ad una delle esigenze fondamentali dell'essere umano: esprimersi.

L'espressione precede temporalmente e logicamente la comunicazione.

Infatti, l'espressione può non comunicare alcun contenuto, ma piuttosto esprime una situazione, ad esempio uno stato d'animo.

Nei social media l'espressione trova una via di sfogo nella comunicazione, benché frammentata e anonimizzata.

Sure, there are websites but are either pseudo-alternatives or without enough reach.

But, the alternative should not be a mere copy inside the fediverse.

The open web / federated / non monolithic internet should have a real alternative to LinkedIn (which is owned by Microsoft - already forgot Recall?)
