Me mandan hoy muchos mensajes por xmpp felicitándome por ser hoy el día internacional del mago...
Si bien se agradece la felicitación, debo decir que la festividad va enfocada más a otro tipo de magos, el festejo por lo que veo se refiere más a ese tipo de "magos" que podemos hallar en Las Vegas, que son prestidigitadores o escapistas o ilusionistas, ya saben, esa gente que por medio de ángulos de visión, espejos, algunos aparatos y otras cosas realiza trucos sorprendentes ante un público asombrado, según observo, el Día Internacional del Mago va enfocado a festejar a ese tipo de personas, más no a los magos dentro del contexto y entorno de las tradiciones y comunidades paganas.

El jueves es día del dios Thor según la tradición Asatrú ( una vertiente pagana que sigue a las deidades nórdicas).
Thursday deriva del inglés antiguo "Þūnresdæg," donde Þūnr (Thur) es un vocablo que los sajones ocupaban para hacer referencia al dios Thor y dæg es lo que posteriormente derivó en la palabra day, dia, de tal suerte que Þūnresdæg se podría traducir al inglés moderno cómo Thur's day o Thor's Day, es decir, el día de Thor.
