I think it's time these guys change their name.

This was a day packed full. Started a quick work task at 6am.
7am to 8:15, Bible study with 4 other guys. We finished Matthew.
Then came home to help my wife (with her bum knee) get ready for the day.
9:30am, we headed to St. Louis for her follow up appointment from her surgery last week.
While in St. Louis, we ate at Cracker Barrel and got some cookies at Crumbl Cookies.
It's almost 5pm, and we just got home from St. Louis.
At 6pm, we have a college basketball game to go to because my daughter is performing with the dance team during half time.
It was/is a full day.
My wife is doing well after surgery, but tomorrow starts the hard part...physical therapy.

My wife's knee surgery went great. Just as expected. Recovery will be a big deal.
6 weeks of no weight on her leg and in a stiff brace. After week 2, starts physical therapy. She will have to wear a machine that bend her knee for her at a specific degree amount 8 hours a day.
Total recovery to take 6-8 months.

My wife is having a knee surgery tomorrow.
We aren't too concerned about the surgery, but the following weeks of recovery could use some prayer. Thanks, ya'll.

I'm the kind of guy that makes a joke on a group chat. Waits for others to use the laughing emoji reaction, then taps that reaction to appear that we're all laughing together.

I haven't listened to Switchfoot in a while. Every time I pull them up again, it's like Jesus speaks to me. Like he shuffles the playlist. Like he knows what I need to hear. Like breathing fresh air.
First song. This is Home. A song reminding me of where I belong.
Then, Hello Hurricane. A song about no storm being able to break love.
Next song. The Sound. With lyrics like "There is no song louder than love" & "John Perkins said it right, Love is the final fight".
Then, Adding to the Noise. A great reminder that commentaries, podcasts, so-called christian social media influencers, preachers, & musicians can be a distraction. There is a point when these are helpful, but also a point when these things can muddy the water.
Then, Joy Invincible. Joy can exist along the pains of life.
And also... Gone. A song reminding me that yesterday is gone. Gotta live in the present. Can't live in the past, can't live in the future.
And it just keeps going and going and going.

I can go first. The next big thing in our lives will be my wife's knee surgery, coming up in November. I need to make some repairs on the house to accommodate this, and I'll have to work towards changing my schedules and the amount of traveling I do for work.
