At last I got that final but important piece for my RISC-V SBC ( @bananapi BPI-F3): the cooler. Now I can finally start compiling some big chunks of code like Qt and KDE software. I do have distributed cross-compiling set up using Icecream, but apparently you can't prevent it scheduling compile jobs locally on SBC and only send them to more powerful computers. Let the fun begin…

If one is to get into blogging these days and would like to use a blogging system with Fediverse/ActivityPub integration (including commenting via Mastodon account for example)…

Which one do people currently recommended to use?

I have found Plume, which looks nicest and has quite a few instances available. but is currently not developed very actively.

There is also WriteFreely, which is similar but lacks in public instances.

Maybe Lemmy?

Just got some RISC-V hardware goodies to play with in the following days/months: BPI-F3 SBC by @bananapi with SpacemiT K1 8-core CPU supporting RVV 1.0 vector extensions. Hooked it up to the TV, booted it for the first time from a microSD with the default Bianbu GNU/Linux distro, so far so good. Will try to get Gentoo or openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma/software running next.

Trenutni slovenski prevod Mastodonovega gumba za prenehanje sledenja profilu se lahko razume napačno.

Prevod bi zato morda bilo dobro spremeniti. Zaradi omejitve prostora na gumbih pa ne sme biti kaj daljši, kot je sedaj.

Imam tudi sam par slabih izkušenj iz univerzitetnega/raziskovalnega okolja v Sloveniji. Nisem si pa mislil, da je tako zelo slabo. Kot kaže je neoliberalizem/zaslužkarstvo precej bolj opustošil po javni univerzi in visokem šolstvu, kot sem si pa mislil. Zgleda podobno slabo kot v javnem zdravstvu.
