I learned about plastic razor blades on IMSAI Guy's YouTube channel and I'm finding them to be super useful. Remove prints from build plates, remove stickers from anything, no cuts, no scratches. Super cheap. Very recommend. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C589GJVL?th=1

Happy with the way this turned out. The pin sockets are molex connectors pushed through 3mm through-holes. Seems to work great. I think the control PCB (todo) can probably just sandwich onto the rear headers.

I followed the excellent @iFixit guide to remove the battery from my Apple Watch. They are such a great resource.

Deep cleaning. This thing has two fans so it's been pumped full of dust and fuzz, but otherwise it seems to be in good shape. The bezel needs whitening so I'm off to the store to buy a scandalous amount of peroxide.

Haha wow it has a SunPCi coprocessor card so you can run Windows inside Solaris. It's deranged, I love it.

Ok so today I learned that when you order a PCB stencil you're supposed to tell them how big you want it, otherwise you get a whole panel.

Trying to collect my thoughts, but they're not coming together. Brendan was my friend and I am very sad.

Aha, the execrable Amazon voltage booster is sagging under load and can barely ignite the filaments, so I need to build a better one. Meanwhile I fashioned a boss new socket that's easy to assemble and shields all the zappy bits.

Working on a new clock design with FreeCAD and I like the look. The tubes are much better in person than in the photo but I’m a little disappointed with the brightness (I’m running them at 220V, 2.8mA which is what the data sheet recommends). I have a case of tubes so at some point I’ll go through and find a matched set.

Designed a minimal Skådis wire dispenser for 33mm spools and it turned out great. Printing six more right now.

And that's a wrap! We all knew this would happen of course. I got distracted with hardware issues and Christmas and other things and didn't make it to the middle of the month. It's a hobby, don't care. 31/31
