Like if you think that arcane s2 can't resolve an arc then why didn't that bother you in s1? Because it had the exact same issue! Seasons should have arcs even if they're not the end of the series and it kind of stumbled across the finish line for most characters. To the point that part of what makes s2 great is how it feels like they decided to go way different directions with a bunch of characters in s2 which made them way more interesting but makes them feel very disjointed from their s1 versions

i was going to say initially that i thought Ambessa's splash art was kind of boring but Fine, but as i looked at it, i actually think she is shaped much too triangularly. ambessa is extremely muscular, but honestly they drew her almost like how a regular buff man is shaped? where as in the show she has a much different silhouette. and this is a kind of weird issue because i know riot knows how to draw large buff women, illaoi exists and doesnt have this issue.

like it is very important to me as someone who has been steeped in riot's artistic bankrupcy for over a decade that people understand this. whoever pulls the strings at riot that causes the art to turn out bad has an iron grip on the company. these two characters are not the same person. they made her head smaller. her nose smaller. they made her fucking BOOBS BIGGER. there is just no excuse for this. its "pretty" art, but it is awful and disrespectful

Mel just got added to league and while her splash art isnt as straightforwardly repulsive as Jayce's, i still think its bad. like, Mel is a very gorgeous, skinny woman. but STILL, the league artists cannot get it right. the riot art team draws almost exclusively pretty skinny women, but the hitch is in the fact that Mel is shaped like an actual human being, something the riot art team has rarely been pressed to do. so instead she is shaped identically to the way every single skinny woman in league is shaped, which imo is very reminiscent of the way early 2000 female superheros were shaped. which is to say, not very good. like there are a LOT of reference sheets for mel. it would not have been difficult to just MAKE HER SHAPED NORMAL.
