Some context: I first had this idea last year. It'd been on my todo list for months.

Honestly I didn't think I was going to get to it anytime soon. But then tonight I realized it was a great fit for an AI-written prototype.

I iterated with Claude over it and I had something working OK after around an hour. Setting up the repo and getting it "shippable" took another hour and a half or so. Quite a bit of that was spent trying different approaches to formatting :)

For all the issues it has, [[X]] has an amazing number of great accounts. I meet a lot of interesting people over there as well.

I wish it wasn't so negatively charged ideologically nowadays, the view that the app and website present by default (driven algorithmically) is problematic, as are their interop policies and some of the social policies of the owner.

Unacceptable IMHO, vim should always work; [[snap]] and [[nvim]] are not a combination I can recommend at this point. Yet somehow I think I ended up running this pair in every computer.

The 404 is for loading https://api.x.com/1.1/account/settings.json which apparently the settings page crashes without. Maybe it's also related I edited my profile recently and it's under review?

Wow, I posted with hashtag #Mastodon on X and immediately I started getting rate limit errors when posting, and now I can't load my settings page even -- I get a 404 (!).

Not saying they are necessarily related but it makes me wonder.

I came to this as a joke while making tea -- does anyone use the lids? they just seem to get in the way

I can see how they could be useful for longer term storage, but otherwise I just leave them off in a stack or always lagging behind the teapot for no reason
