Regarding the question "How does scad'n'cut compare to boxes.py" I added an example to the repo, so you can compare for yourself:

My (biased) conclusion:
with_cutouts
is great, but sometimes a little slow[#]OpenSCAD #lasercutting #makin #FOSS #FLOSS #opensource

OK, it's live now!
scad'n'cut - OpenSCAD library for lasercutting
scad'n'cut aims to make it simple to construct lasercut parts in OpenSCAD. Arrange the parts in 3D space and create matching cutouts with ease!

Can someone help me identify this broken diode? The PCB it's on is from the late 90s. The diode is conductive in both directions and, well, obviously defective.
No identical parts on the same board, although many diodes in different sizes.
The resistor also in the picture seems fine. It seems to have been hit by the diodes "explosion". I desoldered and then resoldered it to measure it independently from the board..
