The Switch 2 hardware reveal was sleek but I‘m overall disappointed as someone who plays handheld-first. Ergonomics seem largely unchanged and the rumored LCD screen is a downgrade from my OLED Switch. #switch2

My custom Swift implementation of the FSRS algorithm. Comes with tests and more configurable options than the other implementations I came across, Swift or otherwise. No support for model training though, so Rust or Python will likely be my go-tos for that on a separate backend service.

Recently I decided to make my own spaced-repetition flashcard app/backend since I was never happy with the bazillion ones out there, including #Anki.

Happy to share some progress: backend is almost ready, using #Hummingbird for a change—props to @opticalaberration and team! UI is coming along nicely, and FSRS implementation is live and kicking as an open source package (link in thread).

I was in the market for getting a PS5 Pro, but not at this unsubsidized price. Maybe the next State of Play will make me reconsider if it has anything from FromSoft or BluePoint, but until then, it’s a hard pass.
