Our goal is "Breakout/Arkanoid clone on Steam within a year."
Of course, our interpretation of "Breakout clone" keeps drifting as we keep having weird ideas. (This is all according to plan.)

I've been working on a gamedev thing with some friends for a little while now, and I'm sure I'll post all about it once there are visuals that don't just look like gray with blobs on.

A breeze of brilliant dragonsong -
A voice across the sun;
A call from bare stone mountaintops;
An Autumn now begun.
A caravan of windblown leaves;
A rustling of wings:
A rush of scales in dun and umber.
Corvids here too sing.

Looking (somewhat desperately, to be honest) for coding work either in Denver or that can be done remotely.
I'm a seasoned pro programmer with years of experience under my belt, but with no particular specialization. I'm also a strong creative problem solver, a good communicator, and a fast learner.
Open to any possibilities right now!

I'm not sure if the right way to frame things is in terms of whether or not he's "as bad as Trump". He's different from Trump, and does different things for different reasons. Sometimes that makes him be better. Sometimes that makes him dig in and support an ongoing genocide in the face of all reason and morality.
Arguing that voting for Biden is still the right thing to do should focus on that difference while still acknowledging his faults, and the magnitude of the current situation. For that matter, so should arguing that voting for Biden isn't the right thing to do.
Edit: Reworded the opening sentence for clarity.

The point (as far as I'm concerned) not being that that excuses the genocide, or outweighs it, or anything like that.
Just that 1. he's genuinely done good stuff, and 2. I actually wasn't sure about this and was glad to find it out just now.

I loved both Slay the Spire and Inscryption. I think that deckbuilding genre is a good one. Just, can't it have its own genre name?

Why do people think that deckbuilders with branching paths to choose from are roguelikes? In what actual way are they like Rogue?
"They have permadeath-"
You mean they have the ability to lose. Lots of games have that.
"They have procgen-"
You mean some things are determined randomly. Lots of games have that too.
Anything else? ...no?

...I guess I can still read books without aggravating it, so, okay, maybe not literally everything.

Well,
I have a repetitive stress injury of some kind in my wrist. :dragnskeptical:
It's a good thing literally everything I do for both productivity and pleasure doesn't involve either typing on a keyboard or holding a game controller or anything like that, or I might be in some real trouble. 🙃

"As I reached the top of the ledge, I finally saw before me the whole spread of the landscape I'd been getting mere glimpses of through the rocks and foliage. It was a cauldron of waterfalls and jagged stone, a wild, churning scene, chaotic and mysterious. Great god rays plunged down from the clouds and lit it like a kaleidoscope of spotlights. I had to stop and admire it, even before pulling myself up onto the flat surface I'd reached.
But where, in all this tantalizing vista, should I fly to first? How could I possibly decide? Stray details played anarchic catch with the focus of my vision. Everything looked so luscious, so intriguing. Was that a ruined city? Was that a distant stone tower? Were those rocks floating? What could be inside that cave? Why were those jutting stones peppered with holes? Why did the formation arcing down into that watery chasm resemble a ribcage so exactly?
Suddenly, I heard a distant sound of shattering stone. The cracking and splintering echoed strangely in the vortex of the landscape. By the time I determined where it had come from, the thing had already happened: A massive, heavenly bolt had pierced the jaw of some utterly gargantuan stone head that I hadn't even noticed yet, its sheer enormity camoflaging it. Fragments of whatever magic had propelled the bolt still flickered in its wake for a moment before fading. The volcanic maw drooled lava like it was spitting up blood. Was the whole mountain alive? Had it just been slain? By who, and why? Perhaps that was where I should start.
But, I decided as my gaze roamed back down across the landscape towards my perch, lingering on each island as it passed; whatever had just happened, the damage was clearly already done. And any creature of that size - if it was a creature - would die slowly, in weeks or months. Years, even. So perhaps there was no harm in taking my time in getting to it."
