Are there any positions in programming that have actually been resolved, i.e. where nobody is arguing about it anymore? I think maybe higher-level programming languages instead of assemblers. Other than that? (Formally specifying those languages is definitely not given)

I mean, we still talk about Dijkstra-era stuff like "Single Entry, Single Exit"…

Heh, random search just lead me to the L-Space resource for the Discworld novels.

That and the Lurker's Guide to B5 stuck out in my early web usage, where it appeared to be an endless repository of knowledge (where social interaction was still mainly restricted to other protocols)
