Ohne zu googlen, von wem stammt diese Forderung nach Faktenchecks in den Medien?

Got a bit of a bit-rot problem with an old #rust crate. Someone down the dependency chain yanked an old version of their crate and now I have to update stuff that probably isn't broken, and next thing I know I'm in the middle of refactoring everything away from error-chain for no gain at all. Argh.

They basically claim they can (will?) sue you for forking the codebase for reasons other than doing PRs for their "official" repo.

"Hosting a fork of the code for the purpose of making changes, additions, or deletions that will be submitted as proposed improvements to the Rust Project code is allowed, as long as you do not market or promote your fork."

This goes against the fourth of the Free Software principles. If this claim is actually legally valid, Rust is not Free Software any longer.
