[#]DoomEmacs , I love you, but for fuck's sake, why is C-r not bound to redo in insert mode? The effect this has is:

I make a small typo, I press C-/, it undoes too much, I try to redo with C-r, it does... something? I panic and try abort whatever that does with C-g, then go back to normal mode and redo again with C-r, but now it already fucked up my undo chain and I lost 30 minutes of work. Fucking excellent.

Installing undo-tree just to prevent this from happening again.

So, what I'm curious about but am unwilling to make an account for testing my theory is whether the new free speech policy extends to making fun of billionaires. Can I say that they are parasites? Or that they have a mental illness and should seek therapy, so they can develop a sense of compassion? Or is it just vulnerable minorities who are fair game? Are guillotine memes okay?

I think I'm resigned to getting a hardtail MTB. Cannot deny my desire for nyooming down dirt roads much longer. At least my family can't complain it not being a useful bike as much as if I were to choose a BMX.

...oh fuck, I just realized: knowing myself, I'm going to have buy a stronger helmet.

also, ps.: BMX content creators who ride past pedestrians like absolute jackasses also influenced my decision that urban BMX is Not For Me.

One really nice thing I miss from #GNOME that both #i3wm and #sway have is the ability to forcefully toggle fullscreen and change window sizes below the minimum. :sadlinux:

Practical example: some Wine apps will lose fullscreen after alt-tab and then refuse to go back until restarted, which is less than ideal if I'm hosting a server for a LAN party.

Can you express streams / lazily evaluated lists with an eagerly evaluated fold combined with a continuation in #Scheme / #OCaml / other languages with some form of continuations? :flan_think:

And if so, are there existing libraries that build on this?

I'm pretty sure it's possible, at least with unconstrained call/cc, not quite sure about more restricted variations, or how it would work with typing.

I'd try to prototype it myself but I have my final exam coming up, so I hope tooting about it is enough to get it out of my system. :neofox_laugh_sweat:

What if pulling a channel and upgrading was a single atomic transaction in #Nix and #Guix ?

Or at least if there was an option to try switching the profile generations first and only if they all built (and there was no issue during activation either) would the new channel generation be activated.
