Zvukový popis na #ČT má různé formy. Na jedné straně je pořad Branky, Body, Vteřiny, jehož celý popis je odbyt přečtením názvu pořadu během znělky.

Opačným extrémem je něco, co by se dalo parafrázovat jako: „Stěrače stírají, ostřikovače stříkají, klakson troubí!“

Chudáci všichni vidící diváci, co se nikdy nedozví, jak se tahle písnička jmenuje a kdo ji zpívá.

[#]ČT24 má na webu "Evropský pohled," kde publikuje české překlady zahraničních médií začleněných v EBU.

Bohužel se zdá, že ty překlady nikdo nekoriguje, takže třeba v tomhle článku (který se dost záhadně načítá pomocí JS window.location.replace()🤔) je vlastní jméno Christian přeložené jako 'křesťanství.' 🙄

The biggest achievement of the #NS app this year so far: it finally shows correct pictures of newly refurbished VIRM trains. 🥳

The picture was ready on the web server for a long time but now finally the API is providing the correct link:

Interesting anachronism. This Ethernet adapter with USB Type-C plug comes with a driver on a CD-ROM. I don't think many computers have an optical drive and a Type-C connector at the same time.

Now Digicert follows up shutting down IPv6 support for CRL and OCSP because it is apparently not possible to run HTTP over IPv6 anymore. 🤬

Every year, the Dutch government adjusts taxes on electricity, gas, water as well as other things.

They publish a table on the official website here:

On Jan 1, there was no data about 2025 at all. Yesterday, on Jan 2, data appeared, stating the electricity tax to be € 0,10512 per kWh. Today, this number changed to € 0,10154 without any notice of change on that website. 😐

How was the year 2024 in #electricity market review?

In the Netherlands there were total:

• 92 hours above price of 0,40 €/kWh

• 542 hours with wholesale electricity price zero or negative

• 7 hours when price was so low that even the end user price was negative

Average and also median end user price was € 0,25. The cheapest days were in May with price € -0,09. The most expensive day was December 12th with the price peaking at € 1,21.

This train just arrived from Poland. I wonder what speed limit applies there (not relevant since the track via Poland is so broken that it does not support more than 40 kmph anyway) and whether the Polish part between Germany and Czechia is considered German or Czech since the train is apparently not certified for Poland.

Prodejní automaty jízdenek PID nově umožňují i nákup dlouhodobých kuponů. Automat má na sobě další čtečku NFC, po přiložení mobilu se telefon zeptá, jestli se chci prokázat aplikací PID Lítačka nebo Idolka, což je její nedokonalý klon pro Liberecký kraj.

Nejsem si jist, pro koho je služba určena, v každém případě k dokonalosti už chybí jen možnost zaplatit roční kupón mincemi 😁

In addition to the huge white NS logo, there's also a tiny dark blue one, together with NMBS/SNCB logo on the new ICNG-B trains. I wonder whether it was there all the time since I haven't noticed before.
