Each time I make progress in Go, I realize JavaScript rot my brain so much lol. I tried writing an SQL query containing a concatenation of a string + ? as a placeholder, all inside a datetime() SQLITE function and was like "why isn't this thing working" :popuko_doesnt_get_it:

Edit: it wasn't javascript or go, it was just my stupid brain, you can concat with || instead of +.

Il writing the specs for my website and one of the ideas is to not have any back office and instead use keyboard shortcuts to trigger events. But what about mobile? I was thinking maybe making a « trackpad zone » appear and you could do some gestures on it to trigger edit, save, etc.

But part of me says « just use buttons » :thisisfine:

The outer wilds theme started and triggered a burst of tears as I was finishing configuring the final static export of this project I dedicated 15 year of my life. I think I finally realize this is the end. I'm so sad and so relieved.

2024 in a nutshell:

• when being a caregiver starts to hinder your own happiness and future, it's time for a change

• freelancing as a web dev is probably over due to remote being dead

• closed projects, started new ones, it was a transitional year

• saw a lot of cool things, cool people, it was a good year for discovery

I hadn't followed the arrival of the invoker API at all, and it looks so good. It's an API for HTML that will allow you to trigger actions like showing a modal or increasing the value of an input, WITHOUT using JavaScript. Pure declarative, I love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ctb9-Bb2j-Y
