Remember in last night's #monsterdon, they set up that the bee girls needed lots of sugar and couldn't tolerate smoke?

It sure would have been neat if, at some point in the film, one of those facts turned out to be a vital clue, or was somehow used to defeat the bee girls.

In real life, male bees die during sex because they ejaculate so hard their dick ruptures and breaks off.

Supposedly if you happen to be standing near them while they're mating, you can actually hear a popping noise.

Imagine if tonight's #monsterdon had used REAL bee facts, instead of pulling punches and giving all the dudes heart attacks.

Still, the Bee Girls were more bee-like than the Cat Women from the Moon were cat-like.

So the film had that going for it.

They weren't tremendously bee-like. But they kind of had the eyes, and they made the noise. So that's something.

They cut away from the documentary right before they explained how male bees die.

Because they're not murdered by the queen. I'm pretty sure They die because of how their male anatomy works.
