Upgraded my #LinuxMint to Wilma. That was not as elegant and easy as all the rest of Linux Mint. It’s a good thing I’m pretty good with dpkg and apt. It was like flinging turds at an old time fan. But! It’s done, and successful. What an ugly yuck, even with mintupgrade.

So then, I installed #UbuntuNoble on the #LinuxKVM, and it worked perfectly. Now I got Windows 7 installing. Now, before anyone gets all yip-yip about it, this is just to see if I can do it, not that I'll actually use it at all. I'll likely just dump it and keep the ISO for lulz. I'm quite impressed with #LinuxKVM, it's not too far away from #VirtualBox. I don't need #VMWare's fluff and shazam at all, my VM needs are way more simple.

Then it turns out that all of #LinuxKVM was already there, and updated. So I had to get #X11 on the server too, that wasn't so bad, got X to start and brought up virt-manager. Then I used wget to fetch a copy of #Ubuntu #Noble Server and Desktop, and while I was at it, grabbed a copy of #Windows7 from #InternetArchive. Worked a charm, all the way around! So then I found a secondary NIC in the server I was fooling around with, plugged it into my switching fabric, and bridged that NIC.

Good lord, I haven’t had this kind of #GeekFun in such a long time. It struck me that I should prepare one of my sidelined servers, an old backup server we aren't using because we upgraded to a new one, but I put Ubuntu on it, Mantic. So I was futzing around, and wanted to try #LinuxKVM, because my #VMWare is going to eventually go byebye. So I started the work, realized that I had to upgrade to Ubuntu Noble first, which was a bit of a chest-gripper, but it worked!

LOL. Briefly I felt like those #tiktok creators. Kinda running ads for #tarot cards, with pictures and links. Except I don’t do the affiliate whatever it is, and I’m no influencer. The reason I value #tiktok and its algorithms is because it brings other #lightworker folks to me easily. Many of them don’t know what they are doing or their gifts, yet, but there they are. One fellow lightworker suggested, and I believe he is right, that all of this #uspol drama is an infected wound in the collective of humanity. By being here with you all at this time, holding the light, holding the hope, we can flush the wound clean so it can heal. I just need to hold fast and be strong.

I spent all day with my help desk admin trying different ways to get New #Outlook to display a shared mailbox calendar that we use. For me, it displays fine, but for other users, and my help desk admin, they can’t see any of the “older” items in the calendar. It adds without a problem, just sync is wonky. The fact that I don’t have a problem is making my inner-troubleshooter itch. Ah well, my HDA reached out to our #Microsoft partner for help. #Office365

Just did a walk-about and took some snapshots. At #work, and the building is so old and drafty that people are running personal space heaters off cubicle wall circuits. Now there's a "Hot Smell" which my coworkers have attempted to alleviate using Febreeze. So if there is ignition here, this building will become an inferno. Considering the bend of my coworkers, especially today, wearing their MAGA gear, it will be simply unfortunate if there is an inferno. Not my circus, not my monkeys.
