And just like that.... #EverythingOpen is done. The crew finished packing up last night, we've exited the building and it's like the conference was never there.
But our memories will remind us that we were, who we saw, who we met and what we experienced.
This will be the last Linux Australia related event that I will run for a while. I've enjoyed giving to the community but it's time for me to have a pause and nap.
It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the community and I look forward to seeing what direction @everythingopen and @linuxaustralia goes in.
I am grateful that you came along to this event that makes me feel at home and hope you felt it too.
I have so many people to thank but I will reach out personally soon rather than reach out on platforms.
[#]EverythingOpen was my (and others) open source project and I'm so glad to see so many new faces coming along to experience it. I hope this continues to thrive as one of the best projects that I have contributed to.

I'm finishing off preparing for my talk and I'm having this weird see-saw effect going on where I'm writing some bits, get angry at the government, go away and think about how awesome libraries are, get angry at the government, go back to the awesome things that libraries do... go back to being angry at the government.... ugh.

Whelp my duties as Vice-President and 10 year stint as Council member of @linuxaustralia is now complete.
I feel so privileged that the community put the trust in me to contribute to the organisation for all that time. Linux Australia has kept me grounded and provided connections beyond what I thought were possible.
