For those in the UK and especially Ireland and southern Scotland: take care and stay safe during Storm Éowyn. The majority of schools in Scotland seem to have been shut as well as quite a number of businesses saying that they are not going to open today. No need to put yourself at risk over anything trivial, but to those who must go out over duty and care then please stay safe and avoid unnecessary risks.

Let us put away past differences and grievances and let us actively choose to forgive those who have wronged us. Just listened to (and thoroughly enjoyed) @linuxlads episode 134 Shut Up and Take My Money https://linuxlads.com/episodes/134/ The lads talk about what tech related stuff they would spend €2000 on.

I actually think that this could be a good theme for HPR: The Tech related stuff you would spend (insert local currency symbol here) 2000 on.

Earlier this week we were without internet for 24 hours; my word that scared me to realise how much we rely on it. If it were not for my samba share then we would have had nothing to watch, all of the radios in the house are internet connected so had nothing to listen to except podcasts that were already in my catcher. Couldn't look up something that I wanted to find out. I've never taken the step into a smart home, so thankfully nothing functional was affected.
