Just applied for a role working on Thunderbird. Yes, Thunderbird is still a thing (as is my unemployment, apparently). :thunderbird:

How is it you can get a new electric car in China for $10k, but even with rebates it’s well over $30-40k?

Welp, I guess that makes it 26 weeks of unemployment insurance, the max WA pays per year. Officially running on fumes (savings).

I will say that accidentally eating a psychedelic mushroom was hilarious… until it took like a half hour for the hallucinating to stop. In the game. In the game. :onemilliondollars:

As I’ve gotten back into video games, I’ll say with certainty that I am an “easy mode” player. I say this as I’ve been playing SCUM for the past few weeks and every time I die I dig into the server settings for more things to dial down several notches. Even still, I’ve died from zombies, drowning, wolves (twice), exploding cargo drops, one shot from a mech, and hypothermia. Quick video game overs are one thing (sometimes kind of funny) but trying to figure out how to use alcohol and rags to treat your character before they bleed out is entirely something else. I’ve never played a game with so many (realistic) nuances and details you have to take into account. Like want a vehicle? If you luck out and find one not burnt out and with an engine, battery, and alternator, you’ll still need to find the wheels, a jack, a seat, probably doors, and they could be anywhere on the island. Oh, and even though the island is a prison, you still have to get gas with a bank card (which I’ve lost so many times).
Good lord… I can’t imagine playing this on a multi player server. The a-holes playing GTA online are bad enough for targeting newbs, I’d probably get shot before my chute deployed.

So my wife does constant thrift shopping, and even braves the feral state that is the goodwill outlets (aka, The Bins) where they sell stuff by weight. A few days ago, she found a Mac Mini in there. Maybe a dollar or two. Yes, it’s a late2012, but the last owner put 16gb of ram and a 1tb ssd in it. Runs just fine… crazy to think people just toss this kind of stuff.

Hi y’all. It’s been over 6 months and even contract work (ux/product design) is scarce. I really need some help getting any sort of leads other than these endless applications into the void. If you want to see what I can do, check out https://gbbowers.com. :boost_ok: :boost_requested:
