Here is Sir Alan Turing after getting milk (with his medicine), snacks (as a reward) and head scritches. He seems settled down.
It will last for a bit, while he really enjoys being petted, until he suddenly stops enjoying and complains/bites/draws blood: you never know. And he is faster than you.
But his fur feels really nice and he purrs splendidly.
Alan is quite talkative and produces an amazing array of sounds.

What you see are rice noodles before we cooked them for the soup. They look like an art installation, kinda (don't mind the cleanliness: the kitchen sees frequent use every day).

hello fellow users of keepassxc on linux: is there a way to lock the database without the window acquiring focus?
When the window is toggled away via the tray icon and I run "keepasscx --lock" in a script, the window unhides.
Can I suppress this behavior and only have keepasscx lock the db without any windows appearing?

My favourite shell[0] has been rewritten in rust. That must have been a massive amount of work!
They helpfully provide a PPA[1], so installing was easy.
As per their blog post[2], everything continues to work.

Lady Ada Lovelace enjoys her belly rubs in between head scritches and fur brushing.
She readily flops onto her back for belly rubs. Likewise she gets up and pushes her head into my hand for scritches. She eagerly walks over when I show her the brush.
This is the one picture that wasn't blurry from Ada rolling around.

Ich musste ein neues Passwort einrichten, weil das Alte mit 40 Zeichen zu unsicher war. Danach musste ich die E-Mail-Adresse verifizieren, wohin schon die T&C mail und passwort reset ging.
Dann musste ich meine Telefonnummer verifizieren.
Schließlich konnte ich einem KI-Agenten sagen, was ich vor hatte. Nun wartet das Ticket beim Support.
Ich werde froh sein, wenn der Account gelöscht wurde.

Moin! Ich habe Samstag und Sonntag freie Zeit in der Hansestadt #Hamburg.
Wo gibt es Ecken und Gegenden und Plätze mit viel Streetart? Ich denke an Spuckis, Skulpturen; aber auch Graffitti, die mehr sind als Tags; Aufkleber, die keine Kommerzwerbung sind. Kunst im öffentlichen Raum.
Ich möchte das #fotografieren, hab meine #Kamera dabei und ein #Objektiv geliehen, das ich kennen lernen möchte.

Lady Ada Lovelove likes to GET INSDE boxes. This one she has chewed and clawed through over the past months.
Now she is smugly shedding all over the lint-free kim wipes. Which is of no concern to her, because she only cleans herself.
She did hold still, so I could take a long-exposure photo with the inadequate-for-this-situation phone camera: it's almost completely dark under the flaps.
She would like to sleep now for the rest of #caturday.

Is there a way to tell i3wm or xwindows or whatever on which display it should put the tray icon thingie?
Selecting one display als "primary" in arandr does not have the desired effect.
Most of the time things arrange themselves as I want; this time they did not and I now want a bit more control.
Wouldn't it be cool to have the icon tray on all displays...
I don't have wayland.

Taken for last week's #caturday, here is Lady Ada Lovelace taking a nap in front of the radiator.
She prefers to shred the carpet rather than the cardboard blocks I made.
But she is my precious companion and I will accept her choice.
Her fur might look ragged in this picture, but actually is very soft and smooth from frequent brushing. 😊
Her snoring is very adorable: it reminds me of her presence even when she sleeps behind me (my desk is at opposite wall).

Ich habe für die ganze Tube bezahlt, ich werde die ganze Tube benutzen.
So leer mach ich sie immer: nicht zusammenknüllen, sondern nachm quetschen den Deckel wieder aufschrauben und von Falz her über eine harte, nicht zu scharfe, Kante ziehen, durchaus mehrmals. Oben am Falz packen, und mit der anderen Hand angemessenen Gegendruck auf die Tube über der Kante ausüben, die Tube hindurchziehen.
Das kannste auch machen, wenn sie noch nicht ganz ausgequetscht ist.
