Hey #infosec people, what is your solution for MFA that is recoverable and mostly disaster resistant?

Consider that many services allow you to only add 1 MFA token.

Prefs/reqs

• ideally no 3rd party service

• can use private cloud storage though

• don't store MFA with regular creds

• can be (on) a device (app or physical)

• MFA can survive device dying or disappearing

• backupability is a pro

• Linux compatible if applicable

• can ideally be inherited and used after owner's (un)timely demise

Hmm, so Google Maps will not load a GPX file over 5MB, which is a shame.

I grabbed GPXSee from the Arch repositories and boy... 15MB GPX file loads instantly. Zooming and panning is megafast. Awesome! #linux #foss

Kreun, een oude Excel georven van iemand die niks met Excel kon. Nergens formules gebruikt, alle cijfertjes handmatig ingevuld, alle kleurtjes handmatig in iedere cel gezet...

Nou, formules gemaakt en gesleurenpleurd, voorwaardelijke opmaak erop gesmeerd. Het begint al een beetje werkbaar te worden.

So this was a fun little exercise and I learned a few new tricks for planning my own trips.

The main one is: sometimes it is hard to find small and/or dirt tracks, because they can be hard to see on map views.

If you use Streetview of an area, use the little 'map' area on the lower left, expand it, and you will suddenly have a very clear map view showing even the smallest roads very clearly. Not everything can be Streetviewed, but at least you have a lot more info that way.

The say they have made it to their AirBnB, they parked the bikes on a small lot. In the last couple of seconds of the video there is a shop in the background on the other side of the street with the name "Almacenas Rafer" which looked like it might be local and sure enough, if you search it on Google Maps, there is only one. So once you know the town they're in, a bit of searching gives you where they parked.
