Sold my Volvo 940 this evening. Our faithful family servant for 16 years, off to a new home. 😢

So we'll probably never see the Cybertruck in Europe. Thank goodness! Too long; didn't watch is this - the whole super tough structure is bad for squishy humans, whether they're inside or outside of the vehicle. (This isn't a new problem, '60s Jaguar saloons were so well built they didn't crumple, which means if you hit something hard enough the actual seatbelt will kill you. 😬 This is what happens if cars are too tough - kinetic energy doesn't dissipate.)

My daughter will finish her obligatory 20 hours of driving lessons tomorrow and it falls on the parents to suffer the next 3,000 terrifying kilometres before she can take her test. 😂

Using Evolus Pencil for wireframing on #Linux at the moment, it's not bad actually:

I'm no aviation expert, and I appreciate helicopter routes often follow rivers and highways... but it seems a bit crazy to have an official helicopter corridor intersect with the glide path of airliners coming into land at a busy airport.

"Growth, growth, growth!" says the UK's chancellor, while the UK's environment minister silently weeps. 🙄 #degrowth

Wrote a post on LinkedIn, which I almost never do, plugging #mastodon as an alternative to flocking to Bluesky. It's getting a surprisingly large amount of interest! 😃

It's staggering really, all Elon's products are bought by exactly the people he seems hell bent on pissing off the most!

Just read the comments on YouTube reviews of the new Model Y. Q1 sales figures might be interesting reading... 🍿

I'm fairly certain the Romans built the Colosseum with soggy Weetabix. Try cleaning it off something if it's allowed to really dry and you'll agree.

Unrelated: (well, slightly related, as I was listening to it via Android Auto in the ID.Buzz) ... Recovering The Satellites was (is? they still going?) Counting Crows best album. Controversial statement, but I stand by it. It's the most cohesive one, imho, and although there are some barnstorming hits on the previous two records, I love every song on Recovering The Satellites. #music

The motoring press bitched so much about the VW infotainment system, especially in the ID cars, but I have to say one thing they got REALLY right is the app handling, Bluetooth, iOS CarPlay, Android Auto, all that stuff. Until we got the ID.Buzz I have never driven (bought or rented, so that's quite a lot of cars) a single car that handles four people getting in and out with different phones all connecting via Bluetooth. In most cars it's a total shitshow. The Buzz just deals with it. 👍
