Beim Handywechsel meiner Mutter vergessen Mobile Data abzuschalten. Innerhalb von einer Minute mit gerade mal 140 MB das gesamte Restguthaben von 34 € verblasen. Ziemlich angepisst von solchem Wucher. Froh, daß es keine automatische Aufladung hatte

The tech for appliances like dishwashers and washingmachines should be patent free by now and good enough. I wonder if one could create a sustainable company to build them in a way that they can be used without an emergency shotgun nearby and with repairability in mind. Was derzeit zur E-Rechnungspflicht immer nur in einem Nebensatz erwähnt wird ist die Pflicht zur revisionssicheren Speicherung. Das schließt doch Selbsthosting grundsätzlich aus, da man da immer manipulieren kann. Damit erledigt sich auch der Empfang, da man das auch gleich durch den externen Dienstleister erledigen lässt. TIL: I’ve got gigabit fiber now, but my router limited the bandwidth to ~300MBit. After a lot of searching I found the following to fix it: “In the Network -> Firewall -> Under Routing/NAT Offloading both Software flow offloading and Hardware flow offloading needs to be enabled.” from https://www.reddit.com/r/openwrt/comments/ngr2km/comment/gysdrvm/

I now got 905MBit with the desktop app from breitbandmessung.de

This is with an old TP-Link TL-WDR3600 from 2014
