It's hard to accept that most of us live their weeks waiting for the weekend. Only to have 48 hours of "real freedom" that will pass like a second before repeating. It feels like I'm not the owner of my time. It feels like modern-day slavery to me.

Good evening everyone, I hope you had a wonderful start of your week. I'm still learning more about how to properly use #mastodon and #pixelfed. Since yesterday I didn't stop reading your comments and checking your accounts. It gives me peace of mind compared to #instagram or #tiktok.

It feels like a safer space.

Anyway, I share with you this photo of myself in front of the #alpes in #france from last September. It's definitely my favorite place on earth. I feel so connected to #motherearth.

I'm surprised by the amount of kindness I received from you all on here guys.

I simply introduced myself yesterday and I woke up this morning with tens of comments from people welcoming me and proposing to help me navigate easier on this plate-forme. Some also suggested me hashtags to follow according to my interests, etc.

Hello, I'm Wissam, a 32 year old carpenter from France. I'm a #tiktokrefugee and not yet an #instagramrefugee but hopefully soon. I'm sick of all the attention seeking publicity on a platform where money is the only language it speaks. I'm glad I found Mastodon.

I'm interested in mountains, nature-related topics, self-sufficiency, DIY, gardening and obviously beards.
