Green and purple aurora borealis over the Golden Ears (Mount Blanshard) from Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada. The May 2024 aurora display was one of the strongest since 2003 and brought great aurora displays to the Vancouver area. I certainly never thought I'd be photographing aurora over the Golden Ears some day!
One of my top 10 (favourite) photos from 2024.

A closeup (macro) of a Hibiscus flower petal. When viewed from a distance the veins and different colours are overshadowed by the orange tones, but in the closeup these features are revealed.
One of my top 10 photos of 2024.

Okay, next photo in my top 10 favs from 2024 is the Fraser River and Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. I like my photos from that evening but seeing a sturgeon rise in the water just in front of me was perhaps the highlight!
