Time for another peek behind the curtain.

This time it's Nintendo Game Zone 6 - April 1993 (UK), which has a section cut out from it. Some sort of coupon to join a fan club.

That side was relatively easy as it was just rebuilding the text which was missing.

but the other side was a bit more tricky as it has a bunch of different fonts which had to be identified and copied as well as a little graphic that needed to be recreated, going off a low quality scan found online.

Great video that makes a terrific point.

Retrogaming can bring back so many memories.

Same with these old magazines. Even the ones I’ve never had myself back in the day.

They tend to transport me to a different time and help me remember things that I’ve forgotten.

Just makes me happy, you know.

Which is something that seems to be more and more important these days.

As I'm slowly starting to feel a little better, I'm getting that itch to start scanning and editing magazines again, especially after a whole week of not being able to do so.

It's still minor stuff as I still get exhausted from even the most basic of tasks (I had to lay down after doing the dishes yesterday... 👀).

But at least my drive to work on things is starting to come back.

Went digging through the boxes and decided to go for the magazines of which I only have a few off.

Surely, I can't be the only one annoyed at the Switch 2 coverage.

Seeing a new big website article lament the loss of Nintendo as an innovative company, while longing for the good old days of the Wii.

It rings very hollow in my ears, as I remember how the Wii was ridiculed by these same websites and proclaimed that it would be the final Nintendo console as it would utterly fail, because it had nothing going for it besides the waggle gimmick.

Gonna get those clicks though... 👀

Preview for World Rally Championship on PlayStation 2 from GamesMaster 113 - November 2001 (UK)

This was probably the surprise of the summer for me as I bought a ton of super cheap PS2 games.

I wanted to have all the Evolution Studio games as we will never be getting new ones from them, and fell in love with their WRC series. Just brilliant still, even 20+ years on for someone playing for the first time.
