Made a short #tutorial on how to run Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit on #Linux using #bottles. Feel free to take a look. Wished running older games would be as straight forward as running modern titles. πŸ˜… Or maybe someone on here knows a better way? ➑️ https://youtu.be/0Pp_16iCDG4?feature=shared

What #linux distribution is this? You get imaginary Tux Coins if you guess it right. You know what ...? Since they are imaginary you all get Tux Coins nevertheless! 🐧πŸͺ™ #archlinux #fedora #opensuse #ubuntu #debian

Welp, it's official. #windows11 fried my Laptop. Had installed it for some performance metrics vs. #Linux. Now the controller on the main board responsible for the power management is broken. Sometimes it boots into BIOS, sometimes not. Sometimes the battery LED starts flashing yellow. Even if no battery is inserted. Also it can no longer boot from sata devices due to power fluctuations. But SATA to USB works. If it turns on in the first place apparently. Gosh I hate Windows so much.

I just found out that #nvidia #windows11 support for legacy GPUs is even worse than on #linux. Searched for Win11+GPU: No driver available. Searched for Win10+GPU driver found. Installed Win10 driver. But it's seriously out dated. We talk about 425 released 2019 vs 470 released 2024.

Also apparently their "new" nvidia App is supported all the way back to Fermi GPUs. But not at all on the very Kepler GPU my old Laptop has... This is hilarious.

For an upcoming video I required some performance metrics between #windows11 and #linux. I am now 6h in on setting up Windows and still not done yet. All for a 10 minute test...

I just had a weird thinking. Since some developers do not enable their Anti Cheat for #Linux and arguing that it has huge impact on the effectiveness of the AC in question. Did they realize the situation has already gotten so bad without Linux being involved? Hence which problems do they want to solve?

Based on a recent event. Thankfully with BtrFS you get back to a working state within seconds via rollback. #linux #meme #nvidia

Just released an updated version of one of my previous #linux #tutorial videos on how to (best) install DaVinci Resolve on Linux. This time with proper GPU support for both #AMD and #nvidia GPUs. The previous one did not cover AMD as I didn't knew how to setup ROCm. Meanwhile I do. πŸ˜… #videoediting #contencreation #robontuxguides https://youtu.be/1l5BqfuXWfs?feature=shared

Something which people sometimes still have issues with if #gaming on #linux are pre-rendered cut scenes. Just recently a friend of mine ran into that issue. Thankfully I once made a video #tutorial about how to solve this issue. Here is how to fix missing cut scenes on Linux with games running via #proton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eueisaeAyNc

If you are a #VTuber on #Linux and want an easy way to get that #facetracking working using your local webcam. You may want to check out my App over on #flathub "Facetracker". Which is a wrapper application to run #OpenSeeFace on you local machine. https://flathub.org/apps/de.z_ray.Facetracker

Hello world. Just moved over from some other proprietary platform. Took me about 2 days to remove everything to free my data from the tech giants. If you’re interested in #Linux #opensource #indiegame or just #technology in general we can be friends. 🐘
