Hail, great black beyond and ye murky realms of the meta-social. I'm Willow, academic, professor, writer...and I have no clue what I'm doing here. But I'm exploring other social media now that the mainstream has turned to anti-social media, in particular the free-for-all license for misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia granted therein.
So I suppose I'll start with the professional. My training is in early modern (i.e. renaissance) literature, particularly theater and poetry. I write both prose and poetry. I have a deep love of musicals and wish I had the musical talent to write those, but... alas. I also have a deep interest in gender and sexuality, and my current reading includes Butler's Who's Afraid of Gender? and Herculine Barbin for a class I'm teaching in just a handful of days (eek).
So that's a bit of me. I'll be looking for people to follow and how this whole dead furry elephant thing works!
