New week, new #hamchallenge - this week:
Research the history of your callsign!
Did your callsign have a previous owner?
When were callsigns with the prefix you use first issued? In how far does your callsign indicate your geographical location?
Let's hear the results of your research - a few have already finished this challenge and provided interesting insights!

We're heading into #hamchallenge week 3: Make a contact with a different continent on 80m or 160m. A very challenging one, because not everyone has the possibility to erect antennas for the low bands, or local noise may make it difficult to impossible. However, this is about learning and trying, so WebSDRs are allowed, and for those who cannot transmit, you can do this challenge as a SWL. Looking forward to hear everyone's progress on this challenge! #hamradio #dxing

[#]HamChallenge week two (https://hamchallenge.org/2025/2): Monitor the beacons of the NCDXF Int. Beacon Project (https://www.ncdxf.org/beacon/). Use your own station or a WebSDR (or several?) and take notes. How many of the beacons can you hear, on which bands? Did the propagation pattern match your expectations or did you encounter any surprises? How did you manage to identify the beacons if you don't know #Morsecode? Let us know and toot your results with the HC02[S] tag and mention @hamchallenge #hamradio

The #HamChallenge for 1 (Create a QSL card design) is coming to an end soon. So far we have 30 successful submissions, with some really beautiful and creative ones among them. Great! Check out the progress of our participants on the website: https://hamchallenge.org/2025/1
Of course, there are no hard time limits to the challenges, so any late comers will still be able to finish the challenge until Dec 31, but it's most fun to to the challenges together with everyone else, isn't it? #hamradio

The 52 Week Ham Radio Challenge starts tomorrow! The first challenge: Create a QSL card design! QSL cards are used to confirm a contact, and are an important part of amateur radio culture for more than 100 years. There are no limits to your creativity but there are a few conventions to consider (format, data displayed, etc.). So, please get ready and create your own QSL card design. In the process - post your thoughts and questions using the #hamchallenge hashtag! #hamradio HC01 @hamchallenge
