Practicing freehand. I decided to follow the same heraldry style as the “canonical Bladeguard ancient”: top left a solid block (red); checks in the top right; a small chapter symbol in the bottom left.

Super productive, thanks to tailwinds from Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks:

• All the Archon Rampart terrain done! YEAH. You have no idea how excited I am to get that pile of plastic off the table.

• 2 Rhinos

• A Primaris Psyker

• 1 Bladeguard

I feel like I'm at least ending the year on a high note, with line of sight to finishing most of the long-running models on the table.

With work moving towards normal-ish, I started to resurrect my backlog. This was a mix of painting some parts of the Archon Rampart Terrain with Rhinos. I managed to get one Rhino done, with two more and a Predator fully green-ed up.

I pooped out on the Adherents, making a total of 0 progress on those little dudes. I kept going back and forth on the volumetric black highlights - or just switching to normal edge highlights. I'm still debating it a month later. Ce la vie.

WIP Primaris Psycher for Christmas Eve hobbying. Going to take a break and may not get back to it until tomorrow - NMM gold is the major part left. Fun to push myself on a single mini after a whole bunch of slogging through terrain.

Hello dice.camp!

I'm also coming from warhammer.social. Sad to see the server go, but happy to be here.

I got into Warhammer 40k sometime in the early to mid-90's. Have painted, played, and otherwise hobbied in the broader Games-Workshop ecosystem since then.

These days, I mostly focus on Warhammer 30k and terrain. I sometimes sneak in an older model or two, or the rare other game system.

Looking forward to more hobbying!
