Primaris lieutenants and Captian.

From the Dark Imperium box set. Re-posed one of them and gave them all unique bases.

Then painted them all up in a heroic colour scheme.

Sword Geisha.

Sculpted in epoxy putty with a carved plastic sword.

The companion piece you'll see later, if you haven't before.

Standing ~45mm tall.

Large train display base.

It's large for a N-gauge (1:160) train display, compared to a smaller one I built.

Built from scratch, except the hut, telephone poles, track and train.

I even added lines to the poles with polymer rigging line.

Necron Deathmark.

I used a piece of clear plastic to represent a tear in reality as the Deathmark steps from one dimension to another.

I also painted the rear half, dark, as it is still in the hidden dimension. This allowed me to use some OSL on it's orb thing.

N-gauge bungalow.

Repaired and repainted, plus based for presentation. 1:160 scale.

I also scratchbuilt a full interior with furniture and all, not that you can see much of it through the tiny windows.

Complete with a garden and flowers.

Bard the bowman.

Bard the bowman stands atop a burning tower and readies his bow to shoot the wyrm.

Another Mithril Miniatures display piece.

The tower is scratchbuilt from card with some added miscasts of my own, plus some cotton wool smoke.

And inside is a LED tea light "candle" that gives the fire some flicker.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, Golden fertility Idol.

The first time I had sculpted in clay since I was a child, this was one of 2 things I attempted. It was a challenge.

It was also not what I expected it to be before I researched what the Idol looked like.

Gandalf in Moria.

I built this diorama to display the Mithril Miniatures Gandalf miniature.

I also took this as an opportunity for some extreme "Object Source Lighting". Painted as if only lit from the tip of Gandalf's staff.

Built as a Chrismas present a few years ago, the Dwarven on the column says "Merry Christmas".

The Junkube.

This started as an experiment in making a regular shape with irregular parts: A cube from junk pieces.

I used a number of random pieces from my junk collection. Mostly hot-guled together, filled small gaps with grit, created the base and blended it in with PVA/tissue, and added electric arcs with a 3D printing pen.

It then became a terrain piece.

Space Marine for scale.

Feisar jetbike with Necron rider.

Starting from a Dark Eldar jetbike, I used the Wipeout series as inspiration to create a racing jetbike with some plasticard additions.

For the rider, I modified a Necron warrior at pretty much every joint to be sitting on the bike.

The plant on the base hides the support wire.

Hut on Mound.

Scratchbuilt tabletop terrain piece in mostly card.

Based around a mound created from an old teatowel soaked in clay.

While working on some air-dry clay sculptures I ended up with this teatowel. Could have cleaned it, didn't.

Filled it with polystyrene foam off-cuts and formed a mound.

I then built the hut to fit the mound.

I also included working LED lights inside, sliding doors and a removable roof.

As part of a friendly competition to use recycled materials to build a piece of terrain, I decided to make as much of this hut from plastic sprue.

Other than the base (a CD sprinkled with dried paint) and the roof (pieces of card), everything is carved from sprue:

The wood,

The metal ladder,

The bottles,

and even the plants.

All sprue for the Sprue Hut.

Eldar Guardian #10

For my personal army/collection.

Reposed the right leg to make him run, and carved a unique sword together with the hand holding it (from a couple of pieces of sprue).
