Depuis que j'ai entendu parlé de l'hypothétique Sup (l'alternative à WhatsApp par le mec de PixelFed) je me demande si ActityPub vu sa popularité actuelle ce serait pas le l'alternative à XMPP ou Matrix qu'il nous faut et qui serait capable de dépasser les cercles de geeks. J'ai même trouvé un papier qui discute de ça : https://bifurcation.github.io/mimi-aim/draft-barnes-mimi-aim.html

En fait je me dit que ça aurait vachement de sens pour un Discord/Mattermost-like 🤔

Je suis allé dans la section "Technologie" de Kickstarter, heureusement que y'a Pixelfed en premier, parce que c'est cringe de ouf les trois autres machin de lunettes connectées (vraiment les vidéos sont d'un mou, et à chaque fois c'est un mec blanc qui vit sa meilleure vit en écoutant pas les gens qui lui parlent mais pas de soucis car l'IA lui résume)

Apparemment #Pebble est en train d'être ressuscité par son fondateur : https://repebble.com/

Notamment parce que Google libère le code source de l'OS : https://github.com/google/pebble

À la fois ça me fait plaisir de voir les meilleures smartwatches de tout les temps se faire revivre, et en même temps je suis circonspect parce que c'est la même personne à cause de qui ça s'est fini (puisqu'il a vendu Pebble à Fitbit qui a kill le truc), tout ça me parait chelou, on verra bien j'imagine 🤔
