I don't post much here about politics these days, but don't think that means I don't care. :ablobcatpeekfire:

I'm beyond scared now that this country has been handed over to megalomaniac Nazi white supremacists.

But I assume that everyone reading this broadly agrees with that, right? You don't need me to remind you how terrible the United States is. There are other sources that I'm sure you're following to keep you up to date and informed about actionable opportunities.

I 𝑑𝑜 post more politics on FB these days, both because my friends there are more oblivious and also because I want to play my own small part in pissing off Zuck.

Locally, I'm still deciding how to walk the fine line between stealth and activism in a county that overwhelmingly voted for Hitler part 2 instead of love and progress.

I might post a bit more about how everything is affecting me personally, and what actions I'm taking, but overall I'm trying to make "Trans Joy is Resistance" my motto here.

I'm not looking forward to this weekend; I'm working 12 hour shifts both Saturday and Sunday. 12 hour shifts when I'll be the only pharmacy tech in the hospital. :neocat_nervous:

I literally couldn't sing a single line from any Britney Spears song-- nothing against her, I just never listened to the radio back at the height of Britneymania-- but at least 80% of the fragrances I wear are from her perfume line, mostly Fantasy and flankers, because damn those are some yummy gourmands.

When I transitioned, my day-to-day wardrobe didn't change much-- T-shirt and jeans just became femme-cut T-shirts and women's jeans. I don't even wear makeup most days and I still get gendered correctly 99% of the time (thank you estradiol and the genetics for androgynous bone structure).

So I want to do All Dress April to give myself a push to actually get out and wear some of the cute outfits I've accumulated, which might also help overcome the inertia that keeps me from bothering with makeup very often.

Although I'm sure my default mode's always going to be chapstick lesbian. :neobread_flag_lesbian:

I'm thinking of doing All Dress April this year-- well, sporadically All Dress April because

a) I can't wear a dress to work (just scrubs)

b) I don't have that many dresses and skirts that I could make a whole month of different outfits.

It looks like the hashtag doesn't exist yet on Mastodon, so here it is so hopefully in the future it'll keep the camel case capitalization:
