Listened to the #fosdem Talk of Josh As (Let's Encrypt). In the questions part, he got asked whether Let's Encrypt will support E Mail certificates anytime soon. His answer: probably not due to the missing adoption.
But isn't this the whole point of having an easy way to obtain and configure certificates, which helped TLS adoption in the web space?
I am pretty sure such service for E Mail Certificates would help as well.
(Whether S/MIME is the answer to E Mail security is another question)
