Oh lord.
I'm moving soon. But there was a problem with the floor in part of the apartment, so as part of the agreement, the landlord was gonna change the floor BEFORE we get the keys.
Turns out the thing has had endless delays, and although were getting the keys on Monday the thing won't be ready till Wednesday at best (probably more because there's still rain expected)
So we're gonna move with a construction site on the outside, but the construction noises are coming from inside the house!!!

I was just informed of a mandatory raise everyone in brazil will get. 4.77% (prorated based on how long you've been working, so I'll get closer to 4%).
This happens every year. The value changes depending on changes of cost of living, but it means you won't get extremely out of date because inflation (and whatever else happened in covid), HELL YEAH

Wifey's name has 37 characters, and is not the largest I've seen. I had a childhood classmate with 35 character long name (if I still remember how to write his name). I lived in a street with 39 characters, and a 4-digit house number, and again, not the largest street name I've seen.
Latin America likes their long names, and if you use USAmerican or european sensibilities for "acceptable name size", you're gonna fail for almost everyone here

I remember hearing people talk about subcutaneous injections. The best website I found so far too help with HRT (transfemscience.org) mentions some people do it. But the links in that website never talk about injecting the estradiol esthers (and of particular note, estradiol valerate, since that's the easily available one in Brazil). The links in the paragraphs about subcutaneous injections are either the Wikipedia page on pellets, a paper on max volume to be injected subcutaneously before there's pain, and max injection intramuscular. There's nothing on the pharmacokinetics of valerate, only crystalized E subcutaneous.
So the question is: does anyone know of papers analyzing subcutaneous injections? Failing that, I'd be happy to hear first hand accounts of people doing it anyway, since doing IM injections is a big problem for me

Two random things happened at work today...
First is kind of annoying... Fedora apparently demoted someone from "proven packager" (aka privilege to do whatever they want with whatever package) to regular packager (aka, only do that to packages they maintain). I figured the email was clear enough, "the person has used this privilege to make maintainers' lives harder by doing things to their packages without ever informing them that something was done", but suddenly everyone is yelling that they need more transparency, and that he was a good guy, and they never had any problems.....
Really if you think fedi drama is bad, you should see that thread lmao.
And the second is that my company provides a "thank you" budget, that anyone can use to thank people who have gone above and beyond when interacting. And I got 3 of them in a row as I wake up! they had really sweet messages on them, I'm all giggly today because of it lol

Welp, I'm sad now...
I needed new shoes, and since my feet are like 2-3 sizes bigger than wifey's, and she already has trouble finding shoes, the only place we could find my number was online, basically.
Shoes arrive like 8pm yesterday, and trying them, the soles do this weird thing where the heel part is softer, and I can feel some of the rubber outer sole in my feet, but in a weird curve way where it's kind of uncomfortable. If I had tried them on, I'd have instantly said no in the store, but now it's in my house already and idk what to do
