One year later, this is still the only photo I could find of Thai pop sensation Jeff Satur that really embodies the energy of ethereally beautiful unicorn Taiki from the 12 Kingdoms novel series, because while Mr. Satur continues to have a lovely Taiki-esque face he also tends to do very un-Taiki-esque things with said face such as laughing, pouting, sultry glowering, etc. In 2025 I entreat him to spend more time looking pensive and/or haunted so that I can collect more screenshots for my facecast. #12Kingdoms #TwelveKingdoms #ThaiDrama

This time of year means having to do a mental calculus every time I contemplate doing something to figure out out whether the net energy produced by said thing (in the form of food, sunlight, acquisition of stuff, temporary relief from persistent feelings of guilt re: own failure to respond promptly to e-mails, etc) is greater than the energy consumed by the thing (in the form of social interaction, having to get dressed and physically leave my house, necessity of unboxing stuff and figuring out place to put it, putting words in order to produce meaning, etc). I wasn't sure whether going to get takeout would be a net energy gain or a net energy loss, but the restaurant was empty and they gave me a free hot drink while I waited for my food, which puts it solidly in the "gain" column! #personal

Speaking of Mainichi Seiten!, this year has been generous to me as a fan. First there was the release of a new Mayumi novel, not two months after last year’s new Mayumi novel. Then in the novel Yuuta dyed his hair black to black! Then we got a short bonus comic in the most recent Chara Shousetsu where we can see his newly black hair! And also, Jou is getting married to the single mom he had UST with in book 18! And the most recent Chara Shousetsu also has a very sweet text story about that! (I’m sure it will be included in the next novel, whenever that comes out.) I feel well-fed. #Caesliveblogging #MainichiSeiten
