In fact my mkultra bot on here is posting random garbled nonsense 50% of the time from a database of every single one of those toots

Checked my bandwidth usage on Elestio, says the instance used another 12 gigs since this morning

See I don’t know if this is normal, but turning on caching and limiting remote user uploads to 25mbs of storage (until cache is cleared) should … reduce that, right? Lol

I like that I can limit media attachments and then clear cache to allow for new attachments. Keeps things scaled appropriately

But I do kinda want to find a way to automate hitting that “clear cache” button because I’ll 100% forget to do it

nice try? amazon doesn't call you to verify large purchases

Okay, I think I have this instance setup in the most optimal way that I won't blow over bandwidth caps into uh oh territory (I don't think I would have regardless, but I have to be SURE)

Turned on media caching > make a role for all remote users that allow only 20mb drive storage > hit clear cache button every once in a while (maybe)

One thing Sharkey has over Mastodon in this respect is that all of this was just in the user interface. Not that I don't like using terminal, but it's cool to just do everything right there on the admin panel

Earlier yesterday (at this point), I quickly posted about a new comment section thing I made for my blog, and in all reality, it wasn’t finished. Someone on the fedi mentioned that forbidden words should be server-side. I also noticed that I didn’t really have a way to know that comments were coming in. Now I do. It’s all there, and I put it up on the Github.
