The classic scope creep...

I am looking at switching to Xol(-metrix) + Sherpa Mini from my Stealthburner.

And now I'm wondering if I should also add tap while I have it stripped to the carriage and already have to reconfigure everything...

I really have very little complaints about KlickyPCB though...

Who wants to influence my decision?

Yup. Getting rid of my Bambu this year continues to be a good plan.

Are there any indie #gamedev folks out there who can confirm where they would like their games to be purchased? I try to buy on #GOG rather than on #Steam but I wonder what's better to support the developers.

Working on a solder fume extractor this week.

I got my first proto done today. Seems to do the job reasonably well.

It’s designed to use a pretty standard 120mm fan with Hakka A1001 style filters for compatibility.

Designed in #FreeCAD. I will share it all once I get it done. I need my order of switches and power connectors to show up.

I have never really used @pixelfed before but I had a dormant account: @amdim

I grabbed the TestFlight app and followed this account.

And it worked perfectly. A totally plausible Instagram replacement that grabbed and rendered all of the images I’ve publicly posted from this account.

I might have to suggest this to others who are looking to flee Meta...

It’s been about four months since I started hosting my own email again.

I have absolutely zero regrets. As large providers prove, now more than ever, that they are not on our side, it feels great to have that aspect of my online life under control.

I used the wonderful Run Your Own Mail Server book by the fedi’s own @mwl to guide my install.

It has been absolutely stable, I have perfect deliverability to the email empire, I’m on zero blocklists, and spam control is great.

If you’re a sysadmin, self-hoster, homelabber, ignore the nay-sayers. You can do it too.

I definitely forgot I even had a fake linux MCU on there for my SPI ADXL...

Then I had to do some manual updates for deprecated commands in z_calibration and klicky_macros but other than that I think I'm up and running...

No time for a test print, that will have to come later.

I haven’t updated the software on my :voron: Trident in a year.

With hardware like that I’m very much of the mind: “if it’s working, don’t mess with it”

But if I’m going to add a #BoxTurtle, now’s probably the time… let’s see if I can remember how to do this.

I’ve had various #iPhone models since they issued me one at Apple, when android was just a twinkle in Andy Rubin’s eye… I haven’t even played with an #Android phone since I had a loaner G1 to check out the competition.

I’m looking at trying #GrapheneOS on a refurb Pixel for my next phone.

Converting my family off iMessage is the biggest problem, but after that…What should I know?

I’m watching every app I use over the next week to make a list and then I’ll start googling compatibility. I use no Google services and only Apple Music, but I’m plenty happy to drop that.
