Hoy en día, he descubierto que "verkies" y "voorkies" no significan lo mismo en neerlandés...

Le pregunté en la frituur cuál era la preferencia entre dos tipos de pan-pesco: "Wat is jouw 'voorkies' tussen kebbelek en kibelling..."

"Voorkies" significa "premolares", mientras que "verkies" significa "preferir"...

Me pregunto cómo me ha entendido :-)

(tldr; 25 years ago I choose the name Paraben because it was used in almost ALL cosmetics, and a few years later I discovered it was banned for being oestrogen-interfering and potential carcinogenic)

Paraben Aparaten was the name of my main musical project in the years 2000, (after Anaesth in the late 1990's)

Hexehelicen was the name I was hesitating with Paraben

To choose the name, at the time, I decided to look at all the materials used in cosmetics shower soap and shampoo. I looked at maybe 50 different of them at least.

In the indecypherable long ingredient lists (and I was trained in organic chemistry, so not particularily afrightened by demonic names like CH3-O-R... chirality, polarity, alcynes, alcenes, and many hallogeno-carbo stuff)... with tons of bizarre names to choose from, two standed out particularily often

• Paraben

• Hexahelicen

I choose Paraben Aparaten finally for my musical project: https://www.discogs.com/artist/6575-Paraben-Aparaten , the dimitintive is PRBN without vowels for the dj-ing facet Dj Prbn

Guess what... a few years later, I learnt that Paraben chemical derivative were potentially carcinogen, and complete oestrogenic deregulators...

So I choose Paraben because it was in almost ALL bottles of shower soap/shampoo: it was possibly carcinogenic it is now BANNED for several years

I'm interested in many topics but I am mainly here for Language Learning

I am also super interested in reading my regular dose (when possible) of other languages that I am super curious about: Catalan Danish Swedish Norse/Bokmal Polish Ukrainian Czech Russian Japanese Chinese Korean Mongolian (but I have not found accounts in mongolian for now...)
