The #MetropolitanPolice fabricated reasons to arrest and charge the organisers of the #Palestine march, and several #journalists have been unfairly arrested from the terrorism laws.
Journalist Natalie Strecker has been charged on two offences.

It's a problem because a lot of the #media accept the claims of these organisations, but then a lot of the media claim to be impartial or adept at reporting the #news when they are really not.
We need to break away from credulously accepting media claims, and only call a group anti-racist once it has proven its worth.
These groups always show who they are, and often have great influence on government policy.
We need to find a way for them to not be accepted automatically as an authority.

The problem is, anyone can start up a group, charity or PR company and claim to be working for good things, be that anti-racism, #media bias, revealing disinformation, etc.
But as we have seen many times, these organisations are overwhelmingly right wing and support war, colonialism, or actively smear the left.
What they say they are isn't necessarily what they are. So it is important to not simply accept their claims without proof.

Thinking about the #police at the #Gaza march. They look so disgruntled with the job they have to do, standing around in the cold, unnecessarily holding up a protest and having to kettle everyone in, and being very, very bored.
And I think we can only express our deepest authoritarian, right wing sympathies with them and say "If you can't do the job, find another one."

I thought of an idea for make up aimed primarily at men called Man Lips.
I suppose it would be the male equivalent of fake nails.
You have these little skins that you glue to your lips so you can make them look like tyre treads or steel sheeting or something.
You glue them to you lips using a pot of glue that looks like an oil can.
My wife thinks it's a good idea.

The thing is, the organisers of these marches follow all the rules set by the police, even the inevitable last minute changes the police unnecessarily impose.
It's the police who break the rules. It's the police who try to incite violence - but did not get any from the peaceful protesters.
No surprises that the actual criminals are the police.

We left the march before the arrests because standing on cold concrete isn't pleasant
On our way through Trafalgar Square, I took a few photos of some of the police presence in the area.
Far more police present that day than other marches. Either the #MetropolitanPolice expected violence from peaceful protesters or their aim was to incite violence.

I make a mean honey and lemon drink, which is #vegan if you don't use honey.
Grate some ginger into a cup - no need to peel. Pour on boiling water and leave to brew.
In another cup put in the juice of half a lemon - which gives you vitamin C and, um, prevents scurvy - and honey/syrup/sugar to taste.
Then sieve the ginger mixture in and stir.
Pep it up by boiling spices, like cloves, which are antibacterial.
Don't know if it does anything but it blows your head off.

This is another curious counter demonstration seen at the London march for #Palestine
There was a counter demo at the last march with signs that said "Hamas is fascism", which I assumed was a Zionist group.
Here, however, with signs calling Hezbollah and Hama's terrorists, there appears to be a Muslim woman in the group
The March for Palestine isn't a march in support of Hamas. Its a march against the #genocide Israel is committing in #Gaza. This counter demo seems dubious to me
