You should not read the New York Times.

You should not link to articles by the NYT.

If you have a subscription, cancel it.

If you must read, or link to, the NYT, then at least skip the articles written by Peter Baker. He is the worst of them.

Disgusting, Lex.

Ross Ulbricht (allegedly) offered $730,000 to have five people murdered who would turn on him, and definitely built a platform for buying drugs which makes him indirectly responsible for countless deaths. He also definitely bribed and bought at least two DEA agents to avoid being sent to prison.

When a lowly drug dealer already gets 5–10 years in prison, life in prison for Ross Ulbricht is not out of proportion.

Congratulating such a person on an undeserved pardon—

Lex is a grifter who always only was after fame, and now that he has it, Lex (consistently) offers the worst takes possible.

Keep that in mind the next time you watch one of his interviews.

It took me a while to realize that, and another while to accept that (because I liked his podcast). But nowadays it's become so obvious that I wonder how one can still not see it (or refuse to accept it)? I mean, his best buddy Musk doing Hitler salutes after praising the German Nazis, and Lex still endorsing Musk, what more do you need to see that?

Amazon rather goes out of business in Quebec than to treat fairly its workers there who unionized.

Stop ordering from #Amazon.

Buy your stuff elsewhere. (And, you know, stop buying so much shit you don't truly need in the first place.)

This speech is apparently from 2019.

Platformed by the Anti-Defamation League. You know, the same ADL that 5 years later, a few days ago, says that #Musk's "Sieg Heil" Hitler salute wasn't a Hitler salute, only an awkward gesture.

Fascism is here, folks, and people are falling for it and bootlicking everywhere. Very likely even some of your friends.

Pay very close attention to who in your circles still keeps defending fascists and tech CEOs and services such as X or Facebook. You don't want to remain friends with these people.

Usually I enjoy François' takes, but here he is completely wrong and spreading misinformation.

And this just a month after France completed their latest nuclear reactor 12 years after its deadline (!!!) and paid 7 times more than calculated (23,7 billion Euros instead of just 3,3).

Wanna know how many solar panels you can install with 23,7 billion Euros in the 17 years it took to build the nuclear reactor?

You have to truly be a piece of work if you—in 2025—still cheer on a person who literally is both a Nazi and the wealthiest person on the planet. In addition to

SpaceX has already caused severe environmental damage at their launch site in Boca Chica, Texas by not following US environmental laws and common rocket launch safety practices, just with their test launches since 2019. Extensive ecological damage and severe impacts to endangered wetlands, as well as impacts to local residents, have been documented, such as bowling-ball sized concrete slabs hitting parked cars and igniting a 3.5 acre fire.

The obsession of libertarians with their twisted idea of freedom is ridiculous.

Raising a child is physically and mentally exhausting because children were never meant to be raised by the Christian family image of one father and one mother, given that human babies are born ”prematurely“ (compared to other animals), due to humans walking on two legs rather than on four and female humans having a narrower birth canal.

Humans lived in tribes for a reason. It takes more than two people to raise a child without feeling stressed out.

No single book will ever ”set you free“, whatever that means, while humans still live and raise children in a way, for which humans never evolved.

Police in Germany.

Protesters protest against a meeting of the fascist nazi party (that Elon Musk constantly boosts).

German Police mistreats humans and their own dogs.

In the background, you can even see that a dog bites a police officer. Police doesn’t have themselves under control at all.

If they are furious, then why the f*** are these people still working for Meta?

If you work for Meta, you’re complicit.

The capitalist techbros know that Twitter is immensely responsible for the global shift to right-wing extremism and yet they decide to stay on Twitter.

So much for the argument of democratic entities who don’t want to leave X because then they wouldn’t reach these people anymore.

The apathy.

These soldiers are the people who make contests who can kill the most out of snipe-killing children.

Or blow up the home of some civilian (who is definitely not Hamas) simply because they find it a funny activity to blow up stuff with explosives.

If you know a bit about firewalls, you can configure your firewall to block all traffic to/from:

and probably a lot more sites. But these three news sites are not worth reading at all. As a commitment device*, you should somehow block these sites.

Meanwhile, popular podcasters such as #LexFridman and #AndrewHuberman still platforming that 🤬 Jordan Peterson.

But #Huberman also commented ”learned a lot“ when #Fridman let that insufferable fascist Balaji Srinivasan ramble about his totalitarian fascist ideology for 8(!) hours. (Look up ”The Network State“.)

I’m willing to admit that I was a bit naive/ignorant/unattentive.

2024 was the year I realized that a number of public personas (all men, by the way) I admired aren’t worth my (or anyone’s) admiration, to put it mildly.

The range goes from ”merely“ narcissistic jerk to pure fascist.

(In my defense, I hadn’t used Twitter since 2022 where these men still hang out to this day, so I never saw them after they took off their mask.)

The lesson I learned in 2024? I’ll never again trust someone who is sponsored by a certain green health supplement (you know which one). That’s a heuristic that wasn’t wrong once thus far.

It doesn’t fit together to be a good person and to work at/for Meta.

Think what you will about Yann LeCun but what I just said stands for itself.

Listen to this short appetizer if you’re intrigued. You might then want to check out the full episode.

Imagine the 2020 lockdown.

Imagine being the guy who repairs the guitars of a famous band, or photographs their tours.

Without live concerts, no more income for such staff.

To support their staff, bands received millions in taxpayer money.

Now imagine being Lil Wayne, the most successful rapper of our time. And now imagine buying with that money such ugly overpriced clothing, in addition to partying with porn stars, instead of supporting your staff as you’re supposed.

The irony: I just read that story in a newsletter by one of these ”lifestyle entrepreneurs“ I’m still subscribed to … who still uses X as his main/only social network.

That influencer supposedly thinks about all these stories—at least he writes about them—and still doesn’t (want to) see it’s past time he had quit X/Twitter.

Beware of the people too vain/greedy to loose a few followers/subscribers in the process of building their audience somewhere where there aren’t literal nazis/fascists.
