I’m saying that black and white thinking is a harmful trait. It is harmful. That is factual. And it’s not just neurodivergent folks who do it either especially online and during political discourse

I think my first thing I’ll write about it is how nuance is dead and we need to revive it or else the fediverse and perhaps a free an open internet in of itself will never survive. Black and white thinking is celebrated on here in a horrifying way. I get there’s a high amount of neurodivergent people here but there’s a reason why black and white thinking is a potential diagnostic criteria for ASD.
It’s not good. It’s bad. We need to learn to see nuance and check ourselves more when engaging online, even neurotypicals need to do this too.
